Just in time for you know what season, Harcourt House’s annual fundraiser Art-O-Rama officially launches Friday —?this year in support of the 36-year-old gallery’s noble bid to buy its 10215 112 St. space from the Alberta government.
Brimming with small- and medium-sized artworks made by the constellation of artists and crafters supporting and supported by Harcourt, if there’s a medium to which you’re drawn (drawing, sculpture, painting, jewelry, you name it), it’s going to be here in some unique way.
The show and sale is curated by Jacek Malec and Darren Kooyman, with many creative participants are members of the prestigious Royal Canadian Academy of Arts (RCA) and Alberta Society of Artists (ASA)?— sniff around for the pedigrees!

Night of the opening —?7 p.m. – 10 p.m. Friday —?there will be jazz by MacEwan U’s Bill Damur and The White Hats Trio and delicious snacks.
Admission? Free! And if you can’t make it Friday, the show’s up through December 14 — check harcourthouse.ab.ca for more specifics, including an online gallery of all the works!
The List is published every Thursday. If you have events you’d like amplified or have any corrections or updates, please email fgriwkowsky@postmedia.com.
